Camden Barfly next week for a set at Alan’s Cherry Cola night. I have gotten on the goodfoot at many of his nights in the past and they are up there with the best of them. The NYE party just gone was at the Bathhouse (voted London club of the year by many mags and media bods in the know) and was a sell out long before the actually night. Needless to say its gonna be busy next Friday. You can book your tickets here for guaranteed entry. We have an unlimited concessions list if you’d prefer that. Just make sure you email us your names by Thursday 25th and we’ll stick you down. Doors are at 10.30pm. We shall see you there!

Hi everyone. Just a quick post to let you all know that we have a gig booked at the Barfly in Camden. First time at the Barfly so we are all looking forward to it, and its for the popular Cherry Cola night so it should be full!!

We have been working hard in rehearsals so should have a couple of new tunes. Look forward to seeing you there!!

We also have a gig booked at Club.The.Mammoth in East London by our good friend Ed from The Islington Boys Club, and Madam JoJos on Brewer Street Soho with Bloody Awful Poetry. Both in April, both gonna be great so start saving those beer tokens!

Here is a flyer for all three gigs, dunno if there is a discount if you print it out and bring it, but its worth a try!

Purple Turtle gig cancelled

A bit short notice, but there was a problem with the promoter who forgot to add us to the bill.

The Palpitations have been played on BBC music by Andrew Weatherall! He said…

“That was the fantastic Palpitations from Pushing Pussy Records with ‘Tears in The Rain’. They have just released a 300 Limited Edition 7″ Vinyl, I’ve bought mine, number 176 so you better hurry & grab your copy, great stuff!”

There have been a few rumours that the Pushing Pussy girls are trying to line up a gig with Andrew Weatherall in Brixton – check out our gig section here.

The Palpitations debut single ‘Tears in the Rain’

The Palpitations are happy to announce their debut single release ‘Tears in the Rain” alongside South London rockers The Love Birds.

Here it is! After a few months work we its been released through Rough Trade and Sister Ray in town, and a number of independent record shops around the country. You can buy it through Rough Trade, or check out The Pushing Pussy home page.

Remember, its a limited edition print so there are only 300 copies available so grab yours quick to avoid disappointment.

The Palpitations in the studio!

We have been working in the studio on our debut single to be released by Pushing Pussy Records this coming Oct. At the moment we have short listed ‘Tears in the Rain’ , ‘Cabin Fever’ and ‘Take me for a Ride’ but we can only choose two… Decisions decisions.

Here are some pictures from the studio (the amazing Ignition Studio in north London) – we only had two days so not a lot of time to look pretty!
